Lip Product Addict TAG!

Hi everyone! Today I am doing a Tag! If you do not know what a tag is... it is when you answer a set of questions. This tag is the Lip Product Addict Tag. Here we go...

1. Favorite balm/treatment?

Korres - Lip Butter
Korres Lip Butter - $12- Photo from Sephora's website

This is my all time favorite lip balm! I always put this on before bed, so when I wake up in the morning my lips are all smooth and soft!

2. Best eye-catching red?

1D Lipstick Kiss You Be Mine Harry
One Direction Lipstick in Be Mine Harry- Photo from Superdrug's website

This red lipstick is so beautiful and is nice and creamy (not drying). I adore this lipstick!

3. Best Luxury/Best Drugstore?

Buxom - Buxom® Full-On™ Lip StickMaybelline ColorSensational Color Whisper Lipcolor, Lust For Blush- .11 oz
Buxom Full On Lipstick in Sydney- $19- Photo from Sephors's website
Maybelline Color Whisper in Lust For Blush-$7.49- Photo from drugstore.com

My luxury is the Buxom Full On lipsticks. First off, I adore the packaging... the silver, the black, and the slim tube...AHH I LOVE IT. Also, this lipstick is so beautiful. Keep in mind that Buxom's lip products typically leave a slight stinging sensation on the lips, but I love that.

My drugstore pick is the Maybelline Color Whispers. This product gives a sheer tint and adds a bit of moisture. The smell is amazing!!!

4. Best MAC Lipstick?

MAC Cosmetics: Lipstick in Pink Plaid
MAC Lipstick in Pink Plaid- $16- Photo from MAC's website

Pink Plaid is such a beautiful color. It is a matte lipstick, but not drying and it is a beautiful medium pink color.

5. Most Disapointing?

Maybelline ColorSensational Color Elixir Lip Color, Petal Plush- .17 fl oz
Maybelline ColorSensational Elixer Lip Gloss-$8.99-Photo from drugstore.com

First, this color is a little too pale for me. Second I don't like the smell and consistency of it. Maybe I got a default one, because I feel like everyone loves these. I don't know...

6. Liner - Yes or No?

I like using lipliner when I am using a bold lip color, but I do not use lipliner on a daily everyday basis.

7. Best Gloss

BUTTER GLOSS
Nyx Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie- $5-Photo on Nyx's website

I adore this product so much! It is so creamy and comes in so many shades! It looks so beautiful on the lips too!

8. Something Extra?

SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain
Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Everlasting Burgundy-$13- Photo from Sephora's website

This is such a cool and amazing product. This applies like a lip gloss and dries on the lips within 1 minute. After, it drys it looks like a lipstick! I think this looks so stunning on the lips! AHH I LOVE IT!

Thanks so much for reading!!!

My Top 3 MAC Eyeshadows

The brand MAC Cosmetics is one of the most well known makeup brands. A lot of makeup brands now a days are trying to outdo MAC's products, and this is because MAC has some of the best products around. Today I am focusing on the eyeshadows! I feel like I have tried a lot of the different colors and formulas (trust me, there is a lot) from the line, and I just so happen to own a MAC eyeshadow palette (build your own type).

There are MAC shadows in the pot form and then there are the pan form. Basically if you want them in the little black pots then they cost $15.00, but if you have a palette to put them in, you can buy the pan form for $10.00.

Now for my top 3 favorite MAC eyeshadows:

1. Naked Lunch
MAC Cosmetics: Eye Shadow in Naked Lunch
Picture from MAC's Website

MAC describes this color as "minimal pink with shimmer". This is a frost formula, so it will give off a glowing/frosting effect. I adore this eyeshadow for all over the lid or the inner corner. This eyeshadow gives off the 'glowing from within' effect.

2. All That Glitters
MAC Cosmetics: Eye Shadow in All That Glitters

MAC describes this color as "beige with gold pearl". This is a veluxe pearl formula, so it is similar to the frost formula but it is more metalic. This was my first MAC eyeshadow in the permanent line, and I still adore it. It looks lovely all over the lid.

3. Satin Taupe
MAC Cosmetics: Eye Shadow in Satin Taupe

MAC describes this color as "taupe with silver shimmer". This is also a frost formula. This so beautiful everywhere you decide to put it. I love to put it on my lower lash line and define my crease with it.

That's it for today! Thanks for Reading!

HOW TO: My Everyday Defined Crease Eyeshadow Look

During the summertime, I'm not really into wearing a lot of makeup, due to my laziness and the heat of the summer. When I do wear eyeshadow (or makeup in general) I have been really into defining my crease, felt tip liner, and beautiful long lashes. I think that it looks natural, but gives your eyes something instead of nothing.

Step 1: Primer

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original (Photo from Sephora's website) $20 from Sephora

Whenever I wear eyeshadow even if it just a little, like this look, I always apply a primer first to keep the shadow on all day and to control my oily eyelids.

Apply this product all over your eyelid up to the brow bone.

Step 2: The less concentrated crease work

E35 - Tapered BlendingMAC Cosmetics: Eye Shadow in Wedge
Sigma Tapered Blending E35 Brush (Photo from Sigma's website) $16
Mac Cosmetics Wedge Eyeshadow (Photo from Mac's website) $15

I honestly believe that if you use good brushes to apply the makeup, it will turn out better than before. My secret for this step is honestly the brush. Without this brush, this eyeshadow look would not be the same.

I take the brush and swirl it in the eyeshadow a couple of times and use windshield wiper motions back and forth throughout my crease. The brush allows a less concentrated application which prepares us for the next step.

Step 3: The more concentrated crease work

Sigma Blending E25 Brush (Photo from Sigma's website) $14
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette (Photo from Sephora's website) $54

I am obsessed with the color 'limit', but I completely understand that you probably do not want to buy this entire palette for this one eyeshadow. So I will describe it the best I can. It is a light matte brown with hints of pink to it.

This brush is better for more concentration than the other brush I used. I take the brush and get a good amount of product on and use windshield wiper motions back and forth, until I feel that the product is completely blended throughout my crease. Also I will take whatever is left on the brush and just swipe it over my eyelid too.

Step 4: Thin Eyeliner application

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen in Black (Photo from Target's website) $4.59

Right now I am really into these felt tip pen eyeliners. They apply kind of like a Sharpie would (I don't know about you, but I LOVE Sharpies).

I apply a very thin line across my lash line. I think winged liner would look so amazing, but unfortunately I am not very good at this.

Step 5:  Curling the Lashes and Applying Mascara

Maybelline® Illegal Length™ Fiber Extensions Mascara
Maybelline Illegal Length Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black (Photo from Target's website) $6.99

This Mascara is my secret weapon when it comes to long beautiful lashes. I like the waterproof version because remember it is summer after all.

I start by curling my eyelashes with an eyelash curler, and then apply 1-2 coats of this mascara on my lashes (don't forget to apply it on the lower lashes too).

That is my natural everyday eyeshadow look (when I wear makeup).
