Tanya Burr 'Picnic in the Park' Lipgloss | BLOGMAS Day 20

Hello Beauty Lovers! I am really sorry for the non-beauty posts the past week, but today I am talking about one of my new favorite lip glosses. Tanya Burr, a British Beauty Vlogger / Blogger came out with her own range of lip glosses and nail polishes. I decided to purchase one (Picnic in the Park) to test it out and I can tell you that I will purchase more! They are so great! They have a nice fruity smell, and the formula is just the perfect balance of consistency.  Here are some pictures.

 The color is more pink in real life (keep in mind). Overall, I highly recommend these lip glosses.

Tips For Last Minute Christmas Shopping | BLOGMAS Day 17

Hello Beauty Lovers! We all have that tendency to leave some Christmas shopping until the very last minute.... So I am going to share a few tips with you!

1. Go to the store / mall as soon as they open, because most people do not like to go shopping that early. This ensures that you will not get stuck in a crowd and you can get the first pick for the day.

2. Try to go during the week during work or school hours. This one is kind of self explanatory, more people will obviously be at work or school, so you will not get stuck in any crowd.

Favorite Eyeshadow Transition Shades | BLOGMAS Day 13

Hello Beauty Lovers! Today I am going to share with you my favorite transitional eyeshadow shades. If you have no idea what I am talking about... let me explain. A transition shade is an eyeshadow (or bronzer) that helps the blending process become easier, as well as adding definition into the crease. These shades are usually some form of matte brown eyeshadow and it is put into the crease. To apply the color to the crease, I usually use a tapered blending brush.
 
1. Mac 'Wedge' Eyeshadow

This shade is a very trusty one for me. I feel that it has enough of everything in it to go with any eyeshadow look.

2. Naked 3 palette 'Limit' & 'Nooner' Eyeshadows

(4th from the left is limit, 7th from the left is nooner)

These are my go-to shades for when I am basically doing a 'no makeup makeup' look, but I still want my eyes to looked defined.

Hello Beauty Lovers! Yesterday I shared my top two Christmas albums, and today I am sharing my top two Christmas movies!

1. Mistletones - This is an ABC Family Original movie, and it is possibly one of my favorites. It is a fairly new movie that was made within the last few years. I feel that this movie is pretty underrated, because I feel like no one talks about it! But I absolutely love it!

2. Elf - This movie is like the best Christmas comedy ever! I love comedy movies, so this movie is perfect for me. I feel like almost every one has seen this movie!

Holiday Friend Get Together Ideas! | BLOGMAS Day 10

Hello Beauty Lovers! The holiday time is the perfect time to see your friends, and maybe exchange gifts! Here are some ideas to help your holiday get together go as smoothly as possible.

1. Meet up at a local cafe or coffee shop
I find that discussing with your friends over coffee (or any beverage for that matter) is always a great idea. Especially if it is the holiday time!

2. Hang out at home
What is great about this idea is that you can stay in your PJ's for the whole get together!

3. Go Shopping
This is great if you and your friend(s) like to shop!

Color Crush #4: Christmas Edition! {Reds, Silvers / Whites} | BLOGMAS Day 9

Hello Beauty Lovers! Today I have another installment of the color crush series! I am super excited for this one, because it is Christmas themed! I was going to include the color green as well, but I included green in the Halloween Color Crush. Lets get started...

Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Rhubarb - On Sephora's website, they describe this as a plum rose color, but to me it is more as a plum red shade. The formula is creamy and smooth too. I highly recommend this the product. (The one pictured above is a smaller size, it was from a set)

MAC Pigment in Vanilla  - This is a beautiful white-silver color, with a beautiful sparkle to it. Be careful with pigments though, because they can get a little bit messy.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool - This color is a beautiful silver color. I am not a huge fan of the actual formula, because it seems to crease on me even when I prime my eyes before that. Keep in mind that I do have oily eyelids.

Essie Nail Polish in Forever Yummy - I purchased this color, I believe near Christmas last year and I absolutely love it. I would describe this as the perfect Christmas red nail polish.

Revlon Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon - If you know Revlon's Lip Butters, you know them as creamy, moisturizing, and adding shine to the lips. This beautiful sheer red shade is no exception. This is great for people who want the red lip, but do not want it to be too bold!

Simple Tips For Wrapping Presents | BLOGMAS Day 5

Hello Beauty Lovers! As the holiday season is literally here, you may have to wrap some presents this year.  I am going to give you some simple tips to make your life easier.

All of these tips are tips that you have heard before, but if you need a refresher or just do not know how to wrap these can help!

1. Take the price tags off of the presents- This is just a respectful thing to always do. Don't worry, stores can take back items without the price tag, you just need a gift receipt.  

2. Always wrap presents on a flat and even surface- This ensures the best possible results of the wrapping job.

3. Precut tape before you start- If you are short on time, precutting tape helps cut down the time.

4. Flip over the present before wrapping it- Turning the present over is something to do so the person does not open it upside down. 

5. Use boxes when necessary- Wrapping square and rectangular shaped objects are the easiest, so if you are finding it difficult to wrap something, put the object into a box.

6. Cut an even amount of wrapping paper- This tip just ensures better results.

7. Make sure to use gift tags- This ensures that the person receiving the gift knows who it is from, and also it adds a certain level of festiveness to the present.

November Favorites 2014 | BLOGMAS Day 4

Hello Beauty Lovers! Today's BLOGMAS post is my November Favorites! With out further ado...

E.L.F Studio Blush in Candid Coral - Even though this blush is only $3.00, it is one of my favorite blushes ever. It reminds me of Coralista by Benefit, which is also one of my favorites. So if you ever wanted to try the Benefit one, you can try the E.L.F one for a fraction of the price. It's a ginger- peach shimmer color, that looks beautiful on every skin tone. 

Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels - This is probably my favorite cream blush ever! It is an orange color that when blended into the skin, looks really fresh. My skin has been very dry this month so I have been using this cream blush, because cream products tend to add a dewy look. 

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Airy Fairy - Last year, around Christmas time I was obsessed with this lipstick, because of Anna Saccone-Joly. She raved about this last year, so I had to get it. Let me just tell you that it is one of my most used lipsticks ever! It's a beautiful pink-nude shade, that is so beautiful. Elizabeth Mott You're So Fine Liquid Eyeliner in Glitterati - I received this eyeliner in my Ipsy bag this month, and I was a little bit skeptical. But, I was in need of a new eyeliner and I tried it on a whim. This is so amazing! The brush is so thin that it is so easy to apply! I highly recommend it!

Subtle Colored Eyeliner Tutorial | BLOGMAS Day 3

Hello Beauty Lovers! Today is the third day of BLOGMAS! So today I thought I would share one of my favorite tip for making your eyes pop with color. Now, do not be afraid of the word 'color' because it is not what you are thinking of.


Things you will need:
- Black eyeliner (liquid works best)
- Any brightly colored eyeshadow
- A very thin eyeliner brush





1. First line your upper lash line with the black eyeliner
2. Using the eyeliner brush apply any colored shadow on top of the black eyeliner line

Simple and easy! The mix of the black and the color help neutralize the color so it is more wearable! This is perfect for the holidays!

How to Rock an All One Color Outfit | BLOGMAS Day 2

Hello Beauty Lovers! Or today I should say fashion lovers! I do not normally do many fashion posts here on Happy In Hot Pink, but along with beauty, fashion is one of my many passions!

                      

Have you ever seen an all white outfit or an all black outfit? I think they look so chic! Today I am going to teach you my style secrets on how to master this look.

Style Tip #1: Make sure there are different textures within the outfit. Some of my favorites for an all white/ cream look is an eyelash material sweater or a teddy bear/ faux fur type of jacket. For an all black look, try leather.

Pretty Little Francesca's Earrings | BLOGMAS Day 1

Happy Day 1 of BLOGMAS everyone! This is our second year of doing Blogmas and we couldn't be more excited! Basically, we will post one blogpost every day in December leading up to Christmas!

I had always thought that the jewelry from Francesca's was very beautiful, but I never bought any. Recently, I bought some earrings and I thought I would share them with you.
