BLOGMAS day 24: Tutorial: big & bright eyes❄️

Tomorrow is Christmas! So, today I wanted to show you all how to get gorgeous big & bright eyes! It is very simple to achive once you have the proper technique and products. So let's get started!

1) moisturize: mousturize your under eyes. Try to use a brightening eyecream that also reduces fine lines. Using a eye cream could reduce your chance of getting premature under eye wrinkles.

2)mascara: curl your lashes and then use a black mascara to make your eyes look bigger. Apply the mascara on your top and bottom lashes.

3) eyeliner: use a wateeproof black pencil liner to tightline. It makes your lashes look a lot thicker than than they really are! You can also use a nude or white eyeliner on your waterline. You can also put a line of eyeliner on your lash line.

4) prime: make sure you prime your under eyes before applying concealer. This is a brightening eye primer. You want to make sure that you don't apply any under eye products untill your mascara and eyeliner is on (incase it smudges), and untill your moisturizer has absorbed into your skin for 10 minutes.

5) highlight inner corner: highlight the inner corner of your eyes. This will open up your eyes and make you look more awake!

6)conceal: this step is optional, but if you need the coverage, use a concealer! (I find liquid concealers work best under the eyes). If you use concealer make sure you don't set it untill you use brightener too. Apply concealer in a 'v' shape under your eyes.

7) highlight & brighten: to make your eyes look extra luminous, pat on alittle brightener. This step really makes a difference!

8)eyeshadow: this is a optional step, but if you want to ad eyeshadow to the look use a shimmery white shadow (don't forget to prime your eyes!)

I hope you found this post helpful, and I hope you enjoyed it! We will be posting 3 times tomorrow!

BLOGMAS day 23! Winter beauty essentials❄️

Christmas is only 2 days away, but winter & the cold weather will stay for a couple of months! So I wanted to show you some of my essential beauty products for the winter time.

1) Candles~ I know this isn't a beauty product but I just LOVE candles! Around the holiday time many Christmas and holiday themed/scented candles come out in stores. These candles smell amazing and they are great for many things! They are great for making your home smell nice before guests come over for a holiday party! They are also great for just lighting and enjoying.

2) skin care~ in the winter the weather gets colder, and our skin, hands + lips become chapped and dried out! So everyday I apply a face moisturizer (Clinique) and hand cream (bath and body works, vanilla bean Noel). Applying a face moisturizer is so important because it keeps your makeup from caking up on your skin! The handcream is especially nice around the holidays because it has a "holiday" scent/theme. And the last thing is always keeping a lip balm handy (Nivea lip butter). I always bring a lip balm with me almost everywhere in the winter time because the cold weather tends to make our lips chapped.

3) powder + concealer~ powder and concealer are very handy during the winter time. In the winter our skin tends to be alittle red. So the green concealer (Maybelline) will counteract redness. You can also use the green concealer on acne to reduce redness. In the winter most people usually wear a little more makeup than what they would wear in the summer + warmer months. This powder (wet n wild, coverall) and concealer (benefit, boing) will give a lot of coverage on the face.

4) bronzer~ as the weather gets colder, our skin loses color because we are not out in the sun as much as we are in the summer. Bronzer ( NYC smooth skin bronzer, sunny) is a easy fix for pale skin to give the illusion we have just been on a tropical vacation (I wish!). Dust bronzer on points of face where the sun would naturally hit (temples, cheekbones, jaw line, nose, ect.).  Use a matte bronzer, shimmery bronzers will make your sun-kissed glow look fake. The best part about this bronzer is that it only costa a few dollars at the drugstore!

5) tinted lip balm~ a tinted lip balm (Maybelline baby lips, cherry me) works like a Chapstick, but gives off color like a sheer lipstick! These are so easy to use, and you can easily apply this without a mirror if you are on the go! I love this red color because it if perfect for the holidays! And if is only a few dollars at the drugstore!

6) makeup on the go~ are you always on the go? Or are you going to a holiday party right from work? Problem solved! Just slip this pallet into your purse! (SEPHORA , blinged. Limited edition). Find a compact makeup pallet like this one that has eyeshadow, blush, lip colors and a mirror in it. And if you forget makeup brushes, just use your fingers! This pallet was limited edition, but I bet you can find other Pallets similar.

BLOGMAS day 21! Review: REVLON 'black cherry' lipstick❄️

It's BLOGMAS day 21! Christmas is almost here! Today I wanted to do a review on a drugstore lipstick, that so many people rave about!

Today I will be reviewing REVLON's super lustrous lipstick, in the color 'black cherry' (477). Lipstick formula: This lipstick is a crème formula, that has no shimmer (it is more on the matte side). It is very creamy, and glides right onto the lips. Lipstick color: It is a very deep purple/red color. It may be difficult to pull of depending on your skin tone, but you can pull of anything you want to! It is also a very nice color for the fall and winter. Cost: This lipstick costs about $6-$9 depending on where you purchase it. It is a drugstore beauty product.  Packaging: the packaging isn't anything special, but it's very sleek and nice. It is not limited edition (to my knowledge).

Pros:
•inexpensive
•good color payoff
•not drying on the lips
•sleek & nice packaging
•you can purchase this at many stores (walmart, target, cvs, Walgreens, rite aid, and other drugstores.)
•the whole line of lipsticks has a good shade range

Cons:
(Not that many!)
it could come with alittle more product
•packaging could be more creative
•it tends to be sold out, because it is such an amazing color. I got mine at Walgreens, I purchased the last one!

Overall, this lipstick is amazing and I reccomend this to almost everyone!
Swatch of the lipstick.

Reminder: we will be posting everyday untill Christmas, (and 3 times on Christmas!). Starting in January we will be posting on the weekends, and possibly on Wednesdays! So be sure to stay tooned!
